Salon Policies

  • We cannot accept gratuity on credit cards, sorry for any inconvenience.
  • Please be on time for your appointment. Late arrival may result in shortened services or having to reschedule your appointment.
  • We do not accept personal checks.
  • If for any reason you are not satisfied with your stylists hair care recommendations, you may exchange for another hair care product within 10 days of purchase.
  • Here at Grit & Grace we love children, but the salon is not a safe place for them unless they are receiving services. We ask that you please leave your children at home.
  • If you are unsure of what services you need, we are happy to schedule you for a complimentary consultation. For makeup, upstyling, special occasion styling, and bridal styling, please call the salon.
  • Our goal is that you love your hair. If for any reason we fell short of that please notify the salon within 5 days of your service to have it corrected. This policy does not cover a change in color or style. Full service pricing applies after 5 days. Grit and Grace will not be liable for hair color that has been done outside our salon within those 5 days. We do not offer refunds on hair services.

Insufficient Funds

You are responsible to have sufficient funds to pay your bill at the time of service. We accept Apple Pay and most major credit cards.

In the event that your credit card is declined and you have insufficient funds to pay your bill at the time of service, then you will be charged an additional service fee of $50 and you will have 48 hours to either return to our store with a bank check that you buy from the bank in the amount of the invoice plus service fee payment, or with a valid credit card with sufficient funds for payment, or you can make an Apple Pay payment.

If you fail to deliver to us the payment due with sufficient funds within the 48 hour post service period, then legal action will be taken against you under the New York Penal Law section 165.15 for theft of services.

Cancellation Policy

Upon scheduling your services, we do require a credit card for contactless payment and to secure your appointment.

We do require 48 hours notice for all cancellations and changes to avoid being charged full amount for the scheduled service. No show Appointments will also be charged as such.

Please understand that we schedule specific time just for you, sometimes hours, and without proper notice we are unable to accommodate other guests. We respectfully consider your time just as valuable as your service provider.

At Grit & Grace we work as a team, have undergone the same training and speak the same language. In any event you’re unable to see your originally scheduled stylist we are happy to accommodate you with another stylist. We want to ensure your satisfaction within our salon company and feeling comfort in knowing you can see any of us.

Late arrival will result in possible rescheduling or shortened services.
